PREPARING FOR YOUR STAY

If you decide to come to Holland, it’s important to know the different rankings. Only Research Universities are included in the international rankings like QS and THE. Universities of applied sciences are ranked by the Dutch education guide “Keuzegids Hbo” and the “Best studies” research conducted by Dutch weekly Elsevier magazine.

In Holland there are different scholarships availabe. You can check the website of the university of your choice about your options.  Students from EU/EEA also have the opportunity to apply for a loan from DUO to cover the tuition fees.

DURING YOUR STUDY

Just as in most European educational systems, the study workload in the Netherlands is measured in ECTS (European Credit Transfer and accumulation System) credits. In terms of grading, a 5,5 is the pass minimum. More specifically, grades in Dutch universities are set as follows
